Somali Musk is built around the contrast between Somali bakhoor and Arabian white musk.

The uunsi accord gives the composition its incense character, softened by cotton flower and Rose Centifolia. A subtle touch of frankincense extends the resinous facet, while Arabian white musk leaves a smooth, comforting trail.

Inspiration

Somali Musk was inspired by the place fragrance holds within the Somali home.

Before guests arrive, uunsi may be burned, its scent moving through the room and settling into fabrics and clothing. It becomes part of the preparation and welcome, leaving a familiar trace long after the smoke has disappeared.

Within this memory, Rose Centifolia and cotton flower bring a softer French touch, meeting the warmth of incense and Arabian white musk.

Somali Musk becomes a meeting of Somali tradition and the Maison’s own olfactory language.
